This year, 414 companies from 24 countries participated in the exhibition, including a delegation from Uzbekistan. The exposition attracted a large number of visitors - from industry professionals and investors to individual travellers.
Uzbekistan traditionally presented its tourism potential in the format of a unified national stand. Participants included representatives from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Almaty, the Tourism Committee, leading tour operators, the hotel business, as well as “Uzbekistan Airways” and folk craft masters.
The national stand generated significant interest and became one of the most prominent platforms at the exhibition. Visitors were presented with cultural and educational routes through historic cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, as well as gastronomic, pilgrimage, and spiritual tourism. Special attention was paid to new regional products and joint tours across Central Asia.
Within the framework of the exhibition, prospects for the development of interregional routes along the Great Silk Road, as well as the promotion of joint tourism products of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, were discussed.
For the first time, artisans actively participated in the exposition, presenting textile, embroidery and metal products. Live demonstrations and the opportunity to observe the creation process firsthand increased interest in the stand and helped reveal the country's cultural identity.
Over the three days of the exhibition, more than 3,000 people visited the Uzbek stand. Following the event, participants noted the high level of interest in Uzbekistan's tourism potential, the diversity of routes, and the uniqueness of its cultural heritage. Authentic handicrafts and the prospects for developing joint tours in the region drew particular attention.
As part of the KITF-2026 business program, the Uzbek delegation held a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings, B2B negotiations and presentations aimed at promoting the country's tourism opportunities on the international market.
