OSH, September 18. /Dunyo IA/. The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized an official reception in Osh city to commemorate the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by Elchibek Jantaev, the Authorized Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan in the Osh region, representatives from political, economic, scientific, and cultural circles, as well as members of the media. Also present were staff from consular institutions accredited in Osh city and representatives of international organizations’ offices.

Speakers highlighted the expanding and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in recent years, emphasizing the shared history and strong ties that unite the two peoples. They also noted Uzbekistan’s growing stature in the international community, which contributes not only to the country’s development but also helps transform the entire Central Asian region into a space of peace, tolerance, and friendly relations.

Following the official part of the ceremony, a concert program was held featuring performers and dancers from the Andijan Regional Department of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan. The concert included renditions of Uzbek and Kyrgyz national songs and melodies, creating a festive atmosphere that was warmly embraced by all attendees.
