VLADIVOSTOK, July 11. /Dunyo IA/.  Consul General of Uzbekistan Khajiakbar Vakhabov held his first meeting with Acting Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Vladivostok, Evgeny Volosastov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the protection of the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens permanently and temporarily residing in Russia’s Far Eastern Federal District, the provision of consular and legal assistance, as well as the current situation in the field of labour migration and existing challenges in this area.

The sides also discussed the further development of trade and economic cooperation, including interregional partnerships, prospects for expanding exports of products manufactured in Uzbekistan, and the development of cultural and humanitarian ties.
