Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan discuss prospects for cooperation in Transport and Communications

ASHGABAT, July 31. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshanbek Alimov met with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Annaev, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the talks, the parties discussed the progress of implementing the agreements reached at the level of the leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as current areas of bilateral cooperation in the fields of transport, logistics and communications.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of further development of modern transport infrastructure, increasing the efficiency of international transport corridors, and creating more favourable conditions for cargo carriers as essential factors for expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on further deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of transport transit, logistics, and communications, intensifying interaction between relevant agencies, as well as consistently promoting joint initiatives.
In conclusion, it was noted that the further development of partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in the transport and communications sector will contribute to strengthening trade and economic cooperation, expanding regional connectivity, and effectively realizing new transit opportunities.
