LONDON, February 19. /Dunyo IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Ravshan Usmanov, met with Richard Colebourn, Regional Director for Europe at “BBC News”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The parties discussed in detail the further strengthening of cooperation in the media sphere between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom, enhancing information exchange and establishing direct channels of interaction between the media structures of both countries. Special attention was given to promising areas for joint media projects.

The interlocutors also exchanged information on ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at ensuring freedom of speech and developing the information space based on transparency and openness.

Richard Colebourn emphasized readiness of “BBC” to continue mutually beneficial and productive cooperation with Uzbek media organisations, expand experience-sharing, and implement joint projects. The parties agreed to maintain systematic dialogue and develop concrete practical initiatives to advance further collaboration.
