TASHKENT, May 12. /Dunyo IA/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov today held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Had a telephone conversation with H.E. Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - Exchanged views on regional security and current international issues, emphasizing the importance of resolving matters through political and diplomatic means in accordance with international law.

Also discussed further strengthening the traditional ties of friendship between Uzbekistan and Iran, as well as expanding bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Agreed to continue close dialogue and practical cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries”.
