SEOUL, March 26. /Dunyo IA/. A mini-football tournament was organized among the compatriots residing in South Korea to celebrate the public holiday of Navruz, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was held on the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, with 12 teams competing for victory. The matches were played in a spirited yet friendly atmosphere. At the conclusion of the tournament, the strongest teams were recognized, receiving trophies, certificates, and valuable prizes from the organizers and partners.

During the event, participants and guests were served traditional national dishes, including the Uzbek national dish plov, creating a festive Navruz atmosphere.

Speakers congratulated the compatriots on the occasion of Navruz and emphasized that such sports competitions play an important role in strengthening solidarity among nationals living abroad, uniting them around their cultural values, and promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth.

It was also noted that large-scale efforts to develop mass sports, increase physical activity, and promote a healthy lifestyle in Uzbekistan continue to involve participation from citizens living abroad.
