Investment and export potential of Kashkadarya region presented in Berlin

• 412BERLIN, March 8. /Dunyo IA/. A business forum and “roundtable” on “Investment Opportunities in the Kashkadarya Region” were held in the capital of Germany, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by a delegation led by Zafar Karaev, along with representatives of German companies and organizations.
Opening the event with a welcoming address, Dilshod Akhatov briefed participants on the large-scale economic reforms being implemented under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the investor-friendly business environment created in the country and the tax and customs incentives available. He particularly emphasized that economic relations between Uzbekistan and Germany have reached a new strategic level, opening new opportunities for direct interregional cooperation.
The head of the Kashkadarya Region delegation, in his presentation titled “Kashkadarya - Center of Promising Projects” highlighted the region’s unique economic conditions, rich raw material base, existing free economic and small industrial zones, as well as its export potential. German entrepreneurs were presented with concrete proposals for implementing joint projects in industry, logistics and processing sectors.
Participants included representatives of leading German companies and organizations in industry, finance, consulting, and services, including “BigRep GmbH”, “BCE GmbH”, “Serica Ventures GmbH”, “IHK Cottbus”, “Deutsch-Eurasischer Wirtschaftsbund” (German-Eurasian Economic Union) and Caspian Europe Forum. During B2B and B2G negotiations, agreements were reached to establish bilateral cooperation and expand the export of regional products to the German market.
In particular, the creation of a permanent communication channel between the Hokimiyat of Kashkadarya Region and German companies was agreed, along with regular updates for German partners on new investment projects and export opportunities in the region. Additionally, more than 40 types of industrial products manufactured in Kashkadarya will be permanently showcased at the recently opened Uzbekistan Trade House.
The negotiations conducted during this visit are expected to provide a key foundation for attracting advanced German technologies and investments to Kashkadarya Region, as well as for strengthening the presence of local products in the European market.
