Azerbaijani Media: 2025 ends with significant economic and social achievements for Uzbekistan

BAKU, January 3. /Dunyo IA/. The Azerbaijani news agency “Avrasiya” and online publication “Reportyor.az” covered the annual Address of the President of Uzbekistan, delivered ahead of the New Year, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
They note that the Address summarized the results of 2025 and outlined strategic priorities for the future.
“The President noted that the country’s economy showed confident growth: GDP exceeded $145 billion for the first time, exports increased by 23%, and investments reached $43.1 billion. The unemployment rate fell to 4.9%, and poverty decreased to 5.8%”, - Azerbaijani press reports.
Achievements were also highlighted in foreign policy, anti-corruption measures, and environmental protection. Special attention was given to the development of the mahalla as a community institution, through which social programs are implemented, families are supported, youth are educated, and social values are strengthened.
“Declaring 2026 as the “Year of Development of the Mahalla and the Entire Society” emphasizes the country’s strategic course toward improving quality of life, strengthening civil society and promoting further sustainable development”, - Azerbaijani media concluded.
