SEOUL, August 27. /Dunyo IA/. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has received an invitation to the upcoming G20 Summit in Miami, which, according to the South Korean publication “UN Journal”, would provide Tashkent with an opportunity to participate in discussions on global issues, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
This comes against the backdrop of expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States in education, science, investment, and technology. The two sides are developing projects in healthcare, critical minerals processing, green energy, artificial intelligence, digitalization and the establishment of data centers.
Cooperation in the field of education is also developing actively. Under the “English Speaking Nation” program, thousands of Uzbek teachers have received professional training, while the “Fulbright” and “FLEX” programs have been expanded. University partnerships include joint programs and dual-degree programs.
Scientific projects also cover IT, renewable energy, agrotechnology and sociolinguistics. In July, an Uzbek delegation visited “MIT”, “Stanford University” and “Harvard University” and also held meetings with representatives of “Coursera”, “Google”, “OpenAI” and “StartX Accelerator”.
Economic cooperation encompasses projects in AI, energy, and digital infrastructure, as well as plans to construct a new aviation hub in Tashkent. Participation in the G20 Summit could provide Uzbekistan with an additional platform for expanding international cooperation.
