By the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, courageous compatriot Khayrullo Ibadullaev has been awarded the “Jasorat” medal for his practical assistance in saving the life of a child who fell from a high floor of a multi-story building in Saint Petersburg, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the Russian news portal “78.ru”, Uzbek worker Khayrullo Ibadullaev saved a seven-year-old boy who fell from the seventh-floor window of a residential building, sustaining injuries himself in the process.
The incident occurred in the courtyard of an apartment building: the child was playing on a windowsill, dangled from the ledge, and eventually lost his grip. The Uzbek citizen managed to catch the boy as he fell, preventing a tragedy.
As a result of the incident, Khayrullo Ibadullaev suffered a broken arm and fractured ribs and was subsequently hospitalized. The seven-year-old boy also sustained injuries, including a broken leg and internal organ damage, and was admitted to intensive care.
Khayrullo Ibadullaev stated that he had tried to persuade the child to return to the apartment, but the boy did not respond. After the fall, the janitor provided first aid and carried the injured child to the concierge, from where he was later taken by an ambulance. Ibadullaev expressed his willingness to assist in emergency situations in the future as well.
