Indian Council for Cultural Relations announces scholarship program for the new academic year

NEW DELHI, March 8. /Dunyo IA/. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) has announced the launch of its latest scholarship program for international youth, including young people from Uzbekistan, for the 2026/27 academic year, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

In recent years, education and the training of highly qualified personnel have become a key area of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and India, demonstrating consistent and dynamic development. Through ICCR programs, Uzbek students acquire modern knowledge across various fields.

Applications for this scholarship program, which aims to strengthen historical ties of friendship and further expand cultural and humanitarian relations between the two countries, are open until April 15 via the specialized A2A portal.

By the end of April, Indian universities will review submitted documents and upload preliminary admission confirmations. After a candidate is selected by the university, the final scholarship confirmation will be processed by Indian diplomatic missions abroad during May and June.

Selected students are expected to arrive in India between June and August, in accordance with the timelines specified in the admission letters from the universities.

Branches of Indian universities such as Amity, Sharda, Acharya, and Sambram are already successfully operating in various regions of Uzbekistan, reflecting the high level of mutual trust in the educational sphere.

ICCR scholarships provide talented Uzbek youth with an excellent opportunity to gain modern knowledge and acquire rich cultural experience directly in India. These programs not only contribute to the development of highly qualified specialists but also strengthen “people-to-people diplomacy” and the enduring bonds of friendship between the two nations.
