TASHKENT, July 7. /Dunyo IA/. Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received Huseyn Guliyev, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in the country, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Had a farewell meeting with H.E. Huseyn Guliyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission, – wrote the head of MFA of Uzbekistan on his Telegram-channel. – Expressed our sincere appreciation for his invaluable contribution to strengthening the relations of strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan throughout his fourteen years of distinguished service in Uzbekistan.

Over these years, he has earned profound respect not only as an outstanding representative of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan, but also as the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps.

Particularly noted that his significant contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between our two countries has been highly recognized in Uzbekistan. His being awarded the Orders of “Dustlik” and “Mehnat Shuhrati” stands as a testament to his many years of distinguished diplomatic service.

Once again expressed our heartfelt gratitude to Ambassador Huseyn Guliyev for his devoted efforts in advancing Uzbek-Azerbaijani cooperation and wished him good health, family well-being, and every success in his future endeavours.”

It is worth recalling that on June 22, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Ambassador Huseyn Guliyev and presented him with the Order of “Mehnat Shuhrati” in recognition of his significant contribution to strengthening bilateral relations.
