Uzbekistan’s history and cultural heritage attract attention of Egyptian Tour Operators

CAIRO, March 10. /Dunyo IA/. Meetings were held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with leading participants in Egypt’s tourism sector, including representatives of “Higher Travel”, “Exotic Travel”, “Walla Travel”, “Sky Travel” and “Option Travel”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the negotiations, Egyptian tour operators noted that Uzbekistan is not only a center of rich historical and architectural heritage but also one of the most dynamically developing and safe destinations on the global tourism map.
Leaders of “Higher Travel” and “Option Travel” highlighted with great satisfaction that the liberalization of Uzbekistan’s visa system is contributing to increased tourist demand. In their view, the country’s unique appeal and high level of service open entirely new and attractive opportunities for the Egyptian market.
Representatives of “Option Travel” and “Walla Travel” particularly highlighted strong interest in pilgrimage and cultural tourism in Uzbekistan, expressing their readiness to direct tourists to the legendary cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. In addition, their Egyptian partners emphasized the appeal of the modern metropolis of Tashkent, the world-class “Amirsoy” ski resort and the national cuisine, which is gradually becoming a recognized brand in Egypt. They plan to include these destinations in their tourism packages.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the Egyptian tour operators confirmed their readiness to actively promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential. The company leaders decided to organize special informational tours and actively participate in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair to establish direct contacts. Such strong interest and practical approach indicate that in the near future, Uzbekistan is set to become one of the most popular and sought-after destinations for Egyptian tourists.
