BRATISLAVA, May 20. /Dunyo IA/. An online meeting was held between the deputy ministers of culture of Uzbekistan and Slovakia to discuss prospects for the further development of cultural cooperation between the two countries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Slovak delegation was led by Mário Maruška, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic.

The meeting carried particular significance as the inaugural session of the permanent working group led by the deputy ministers of culture. During the talks, the parties reviewed issues regarding elevating cooperation in the fields of culture and art to a new level, organizing regular cultural exchanges and expanding joint practical projects.

Specifically, the sides discussed proposals to intensify cooperation in hosting exhibitions, film screenings, and concert programs, as well as enhancing interaction between museums and exchanging creative teams and specialists.

In addition, opportunities for holding Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Bratislava were considered. As part of the event, it is planned to widely present national art, folk applied art, cinema, music and the gastronomic heritage of the country.

The parties also exchanged views on the development of tourism products based on cultural heritage, the formulation of exclusive tours and presentation programs, as well as the creation of modern online platforms for cultural and tourism destinations.

In order to improve the legal framework for cooperation in the field of culture and art, an agreement was reached to modernize the agreement signed in 1997, taking into account modern areas of interaction, as well as to develop a cooperation program that includes specific timelines and practical measures.
