With the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Stockholm, a delegation from the Swedish innovation company “Green14”, led by its founder Adam Podgorski, paid a visit to Uzbekistan. The visit included a series of negotiations with representatives of relevant ministries and leading industrial enterprises of our country.
During meetings at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, as well as the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, issues regarding the deep processing of critical minerals, the creation of high-tech production facilities and the expansion of investment cooperation were discussed.
Separate negotiations were held with the management of the “Almalyk MMC” and “UzTMK” enterprises. The parties examined the prospects for producing molybdenum-rhenium alloys, obtaining high-purity tellurium and selenium, as well as manufacturing special alloys and vanadium products.
Following the visit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between “Green14” and “UzTMK”. The document provides for technology transfer, joint research and development projects, specialist training, pilot operations and the launch of export-oriented production.
It is noted that 'Green14' specializes in environmentally friendly technologies for the electronics industry, energy, and heavy industry. Experts believe that the implementation of its solutions will allow Uzbekistan to strengthen the processing of critical minerals and increase its export potential.
Sweden is considered one of the global leaders in the fields of mining, critical minerals and “green” metallurgy, which makes this cooperation particularly promising.
