ТASHKENT, January 13. /Dunyo IA/. Elshod Shadmankulov, an 11th-grade student at Tashkent Ulugbek International School who scored 117 out of 120 points, spoke to a correspondent of Dunyo Information Agency about his future plans:

- I am 17 years old and currently studying in the 11th grade. I recently took the TOEFL exam and scored 117 out of 120, which is currently the highest result in Uzbekistan. This test was required for my application to universities abroad.

I chose between the TOEFL and IELTS exams. As I had previously studied in the United States and am more accustomed to American English, I decided to take the TOEFL. This exam is oriented towards the American variant of the language, whereas IELTS uses British English. Overall, the two tests are quite similar.

My plans are to enrol at a university abroad. I am considering both the United States and Europe, as they offer numerous opportunities, particularly in the field I wish to pursue. I intend to study mechanical engineering, with a more specific focus on robotics. For this reason, I am applying to specialized universities known for their strong academic programs in this area.

In the long term, I aim to gain as much knowledge as possible from different people and institutions, and then bring this experience back to Uzbekistan to contribute to the development of robotics at home. It is important to me that modern technologies and engineering thinking become accessible to as many young people as possible.

One key lesson I have learned from personal experience is that exposure to this field should begin as early as possible. I hope that in the future Uzbekistan will see the emergence of more spaces where children can discover robotics and engineering from a young age. This field already plays and will continue to play, a crucial role in the development of society.
