VLADIVOSTOK, August 10. /Dunyo IA/. Consul General of Uzbekistan Khajiakbar Vakhabov met with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Primorsky Krai of Russia Sergey Kalitin, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, Uzbek side presented information on the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of foreign trade, as well as on the preferences created for foreign investors. Parties discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and reviewed the capabilities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Primorsky Krai to facilitate the implementation of joint projects.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of further developing trade and economic ties, including the expansion of exports of products manufactured in Uzbekistan to the territory of the Primorsky Krai. The prospects for opening the Trade House of Uzbekistan, organizing a showroom and fairs of national products, conducting mutual business missions with the participation of entrepreneurs, as well as organizing a business forum in Vladivostok were also discussed.

In addition, Sergey Kalitin noted the economic reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and made a number of proposals for the implementation of joint projects. In particular, the organization in the Primorsky Krai of a joint production with Uzbek entrepreneurs of children's and school furniture, as well as a number of types of electrical products, including refrigerators, air conditioners, and televisions, was proposed. Furthermore, an initiative was put forward to create distribution centers in the Primorsky Krai for products manufactured in Uzbekistan.
