Navruz celebrations held in the Siberian cities of Omsk and Krasnoyarsk

OMSK-KRASNOYARSK, March 24. /Dunyo IA/. Festive events dedicated to the spring Navruz celebration were held in the Russian cities of Omsk and Krasnoyarsk, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Events were organized by diplomats of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk, with active support from representatives of Uzbek public organizations, including the “Public Cultural Center of the Peoples of Uzbekistan” and the “National Cultural Autonomy of Uzbeks of the Krasnoyarsk Region.
Celebrations were attended by representatives of governmental bodies and the public of Omsk and Krasnoyarsk, members of various national diasporas, as well as Uzbek students studying at higher education institutions in these cities.
During the event, participants particularly emphasized that Navruz is widely celebrated at both international and global levels, reflecting the noble essence and the profound social and cultural significance of this spring festival.
In the course of informal interactions, guests noted a strong interest in acquiring more extensive information about the holiday, its centuries-old history and its core values, which have rightfully become part of the shared heritage of world culture and civilization.
In Krasnoyarsk, the audience showed particular interest in the vibrant performances of the Krasnoyarsk Youth Dance Ensemble “Bahor” which presented colorful traditional Uzbek dances.
At the event held in Omsk, guests were offered national refreshments, including Uzbek plov and sumalak, a traditional symbol of the Navruz holiday. A highlight of the program was a master class on the preparation of ayran, which aroused genuine interest among all attendees.
