STOCKHOLM, May 3. /Dunyo IA/. An academic delegation from Uzbekistan, comprising representatives from the country's higher and secondary educational institutions, has visited Sweden, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The delegation included teachers and professors from several higher education and public education institutions, including the Andijan State Medical and Pedagogical Institutes, the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute, Tashkent State Transport University, Tashkent State University of Law, as well as teachers from schools in the capital. The delegation familiarized themselves with the activities of leading educational institutions in Stockholm and Uppsala.

During meetings at one of Sweden’s oldest and most prestigious institutions, Uppsala University, Uzbek specialists discussed the adaptation of curricula to international standards, the enhancement of research potential, as well as the expansion of academic mobility and joint educational programs.

Representatives from Tashkent schools visited the International School of the Stockholm Region (ISSR), where they familiarized themselves with teaching methodologies, the educational process, and modern educational technologies implemented within the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.

Following the visits, it was noted that interdisciplinary integration, the development of critical thinking, and a process-oriented assessment system significantly contribute to improving learning efficiency.

At the conclusion of the visit, the parties agreed to promote the STEAM approach (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics), strengthen cooperation within the “educational institution – industry – society” framework, and expand the exchange of experience and professional contacts in these areas.
