Among the key events of the past year was the signing of cooperation agreements between the Bukhara Region, Navoiy Region, Tashkent Region and Fergana Region and the Omsk Region during the second session of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia, held on October 21-22, 2025, in the Moscow Region.

Among the initiatives discussed were the creation of a cattle breeding farm in Omsk with participation from Uzbek investors. Plans also include organizing a presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential and conducting online meetings between Omsk and Uzbek tourism companies.

Russian side emphasized the importance of the first “Days of Uzbek Culture” festival in Omsk, which features a multimedia exhibition, culinary masterclasses, a screening of the film “You are not an orphan” and Nowruz celebrations. Additionally, the participation of Uzbek delegations in Shanghai Cooperation Organization youth policy events to be held in Omsk this year was highlighted as particularly significant.
