Uzbekistan draws on the expertise of a leading Chinese university

GUANGZHOU, August 20. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbek diplomats in Guangzhou met with the leadership of Sun Yat-sen University and its specialized Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Parties discussed the establishment of direct institutional ties between the Chinese institutions and universities, specialized medical and scientific centers of Uzbekistan. Among the key priorities are the exchange of faculty members, researchers, doctoral students and students, the launch of joint educational and scientific programs, professional development, grant projects and the publication of scientific research papers.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to conduct online and offline consultations between the Chinese side and Uzbek universities as well as specialized medical centers.
Sun Yat-sen University was founded in 1924 in China's Guangdong Province. The university enrolls over 70,000 students and ranks 65th globally in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). The Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center has been operational since 1964 and stands as one of China's largest specialized medical and scientific centers.
