Issues of labor migration and employment for Uzbek citizens discussed in Russia’s Primorye region

PRIMORSK, April 20. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held in Russia’s Primorsky Krai with citizens of Uzbekistan employed at “Vladtorg” LLC, a wholesale food distribution center, as well as with the company’s management, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting conducted by representatives of the Consulate General in Vladivostok and the Migration Agency, participants reviewed working conditions, provided housing and catering facilities, as well as the timeliness of wage payments.
The diplomats outlined the ongoing initiatives and warned against the increasing cases of youth involvement in religious extremist ideologies and illicit drug trafficking. Practical recommendations were provided to prevent such occurrences.
Furthermore, the participants were briefed on current socio-political developments in Uzbekistan, measures to support labour migrants and efforts to ensure safe migration, as well as the latest regulatory frameworks adopted in this field.
During the talks with Natalia Gorokhova, Head of “Vladtorg” LLC, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of labour migration. It was noted that more than 125 citizens of Uzbekistan are currently employed by the company.
The discussions also covered the lawful and organized placement of Uzbek citizens in available vacancies, with the company expressing its full readiness for cooperation.
The Migration Agency presented a comprehensive document package and a draft agreement on the organized recruitment of Uzbek nationals for the enterprise.
