WARSAW, January 28. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan visited the Polish city of Koszalin, holding meetings with the city administration to discuss enhancing interregional cooperation, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

In particular, diplomats met with Mayor Father Tomasz Sobera of Koszalin. During the meeting, officials highlighted the economic potential of Uzbekistan’s regions, outlined the opportunities offered by local free economic zones and discussed prospects for expanding investment and trade cooperation as well as other pressing issues of mutual interest.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to explore the establishment of sister-city ties between Koszalin and Chust in Uzbekistan’s Namangan Region and to organize a business mission to Uzbekistan led by the mayor of Koszalin.

The parties also agreed to explore opportunities for mutually beneficial projects across a wide range of sectors, including the transition to a green economy, healthcare, construction, transport and logistics, agriculture, fisheries, food processing, textiles, chemicals, geology, tourism, labor migration, digital technologies and artificial intelligence and education.

In addition, they agreed to consider establishing retail outlets for Polish companies - including “Polryb”, “Romex”, “ZPP” and “ZPM Kolobrzeg” - within the “Termez International Trade Center” Free Economic Zone in Uzbekistan.
