"Oman Daily" highlights the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent

MUSCAT, March 20. /Dunyo IA/. The official newspaper "Oman Daily" has published an article on the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, describing it as one of the key symbols of the “New Uzbekistan” and a project aimed at restoring the country’s historical scientific and cultural role, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The initiative was put forward by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in 2017 at the platform of the United Nations, where he emphasized the importance of presenting to the international community the true humanistic essence of Islam as a religion of knowledge, enlightenment and peace.

Center spans an area of 10 hectares and combines the architectural traditions of the Tеmurid era with modern technologies. It will host unique exhibits, interactive educational zones and a library, creating a comprehensive space for science, culture and enlightenment.

It is noted that the project has already gained international recognition and is expected to further strengthen Tashkent’s position as a major cultural and intellectual hub of the region.
