ALMATY, May 5. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan held meetings with the citizens of Uzbekistan temporarily residing and working in Almaty, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meetings, participants were briefed on the legislation of Kazakhstan governing migration procedures, including registration requirements, employment regulations, and liability for violations. Explanations were also provided on the legal rights and obligations of the citizens of Uzbekistan residing abroad.

Particular attention was paid to compliance with legal residency requirements, adherence to registration deadlines, proper documentation, and the prevention of administrative offenses.

Preventive outreach activities were also conducted to reduce crime among migrants. Citizens were informed about the risks and legal consequences of illicit drug trafficking, with emphasis on promoting a healthy lifestyle.

In addition, the meetings addressed the prevention of involvement in terrorist, extremist, and radical groups. Participants were informed about the legal consequences of such activities, signs of recruitment, personal safety measures, and the importance of complying with the law.

Consular and legal assistance was also provided, with participants’ inquiries reviewed and practical guidance offered on issues related to residence and employment.
