YINCHUAN, February 2. /Dunyo IA/.  In an effort to further expand interregional cooperation between Uzbekistan and China and to study China’s advanced practices in desertification control, diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing visited the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northern China, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

As part of the visit, a roundtable on cooperation between Ningxia and the regions of Uzbekistan was organized, bringing together representatives from Ningxia’s regional authorities, academic and business circles and experts.

During the event, an agreement was reached to organize targeted delegations from Ningxia to visit Uzbekistan to explore opportunities for joint projects in desertification control, green development, agriculture and other sectors.

The roundtable also featured a presentation on ongoing reforms across all sectors in Uzbekistan, with particular emphasis on environmental initiatives and the “Yashil Makon” (Green Space) program.

Uzbek diplomats additionally held a series of meetings and negotiations with representatives of relevant ministries, agencies, and companies from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, strengthening ties and laying the groundwork for future collaborative projects.
