LONDON, February 14. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with Adam Mansell, Chief Executive Officer of the “UK Fashion & Textile Association” (UKFT), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Participants examined the prospects for integrating Uzbekistan’s textile and garment industry into the United Kingdom’s supply chains, as well as strategies to position Uzbekistan as a reliable and sustainable partner in the British market.

Both sides emphasized the importance of giving practical substance to bilateral cooperation, expanding direct business contacts, and deepening collaboration with UK companies. It was noted that the consistent development of business-to-business engagement would strengthen mutual trust and enhance trade and economic ties between the two countries.

Special attention was paid to the need for Uzbek manufacturers to actively participate in major international exhibitions, industry forums, and business events held in the United Kingdom. Such platforms were highlighted as creating favorable conditions for establishing direct B2B contacts, identifying new partners, and promoting Uzbek products in the UK market.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in the progressive development of Uzbekistan - UK cooperation in the textile and fashion sectors, the implementation of joint initiatives and the establishment of a systematic dialogue between the business communities of the two countries.

“UK Fashion & Textile Association” (UKFT) is the largest industry organization in the United Kingdom for fashion and textiles. The association brings together over 750 direct members and more than 2,000 indirect participants through 15 specialized groups. UKFT supports companies in export, innovation, and education and represents the interests of the British fashion and textile industry at both national and international levels.
