UNESCO Headquarters Recognizes 43rd Session in Samarkand as Successful

PARIS, March 21. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting of the Executive Board Preparatory Group was held at UNESCO headquarters, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
At the meeting, a report from the UNESCO Secretariat on the organization of the General Conference in Samarkand was presented. The document notes that the government of Uzbekistan made significant efforts to organize the event, creating comfortable conditions for foreign delegates and providing comprehensive support on organizational matters.
High praise was given to the Samarkand Congress Center and the Expo Center, where the conference was held. All necessary conditions, infrastructure, and technical equipment were provided to ensure a high-level event.
It was emphasized that the conference complied with UNESCO requirements and standards, and agenda items were considered in accordance with the rules of procedure. High-quality interpretation services were also ensured.
The holding of such a major international event helped increase attention to UNESCO and created new opportunities for establishing partnerships.
The meeting noted that the successful organization of the conference was the result of joint efforts by Uzbekistan, member states, and the Secretariat. Particular emphasis was placed on the systematic preparation and the creation of broad opportunities for the participation of foreign delegates.
Representatives of several countries’ permanent missions to UNESCO also spoke at the meeting, noting the efforts of the Government of Uzbekistan and expressing gratitude for the comfortable conditions and hospitality provided.
