Uzbekistan’s cultural and tourism potential showcased at Bangkok International Silk Festival

BANGKOK, September 6. /Dunyo IA/. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan participated in the 13th "Thai Silk Road to the World" International Silk Festival, held on the eve of Uzbekistan’s 33rd Independence Day, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

"Thai Silk Road to the World" is an international festival dedicated to promoting the cultural significance of Thai silk, and it has been held annually since 2010. This year’s event featured representatives from 93 countries and 182 talented Thai silk craftsmen who presented a collection of specially prepared garments for the festival, including national costumes and innovative fashion creations by Thai silk designers.

A highlight of the event was the appearance of the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok and his wife on the runway in national attire that creatively combined Thai and Uzbek silk. These exquisite outfits were designed by students from the Faculty of Design at Uttaradit Rajabhat University of Thailand, symbolizing the cultural synergy between Uzbekistan and Thailand.

During the festival, video materials showcasing Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, beautiful natural landscapes, historical monuments, and national crafts were presented. This multimedia presentation offered participants an immersive experience of Uzbekistan’s cultural life and warm hospitality. The event was widely covered by Thai national television channels and other mass media.

The participation of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the 13th International Silk Festival effectively highlighted the beauty and cultural significance of Uzbekistan, contributing to strengthening goodwill, mutual understanding, and cooperation between peoples. The event was a vivid testament to the shared heritage and unity celebrated through art and cultural exchange, furthering Uzbekistan’s place in the world by encouraging continuous communication and interaction with various cultures.
