TASHKENT, February 12. /Dunyo IA/. The Uzbek company BMB Za’faron has once again confirmed the compliance of its products with high international standards by receiving an extension of the USDA ORGANIC certificate from the reputable Dutch organization Control Union Certifications, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Experts from Europe conducted a thorough audit of all stages of production of last year’s saffron crop, including planting, cultivation, agronomic practices, harvesting, processing, storage, and packaging. Notably, product samples successfully passed a series of stringent tests at one of the leading European laboratories, demonstrating its exceptional quality.
USDA ORGANIC is a certification developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and serves as an important tool for confirming a product's compliance with high environmental standards. The certification process is carried out exclusively by qualified and authorized USDA ORGANIC specialists. The adoption of the USDA, or National Organic Standard, is part of an important national initiative aimed at ensuring access for U.S. citizens to healthy and organic products. The USDA ORGANIC label guarantees that the product contains 100% natural ingredients sourced in compliance with strict environmental standards.
An important step was also the decision by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to authorize the import of BMB Za'faron saffron from Uzbekistan to the United States. As a result, the validity of the USDA ORGANIC certificate issued by Control Union Certifications (Netherlands) has been extended for another year.
This achievement opens new opportunities for BMB Za'faron to expand its export potential and enter new international markets, reflecting the growing potential of Uzbek products on the global stage.
