Perspective areas for developing cooperation in the migration sphere discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan with representatives of Sweden and Denmark

TASHKENT, April 23. /Dunyo IA/. Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting with Senior Analyst of the Swedish Migration Agency Emma Šimičić and Regional Advisor of the Danish Immigration Service Alex Hemmingsen, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of migration, as well as prospects for its further development in collaboration with Sweden and Denmark.
Special attention was paid to the issues of facilitating visa procedures for citizens of Uzbekistan, including the elaboration of an initiative to exempt holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements.
Uzbek diplomats proposed holding consular consultations with the participation of relevant agencies for a comprehensive review of issues of mutual interest.
Furthermore, diplomats outlined the state support measures being implemented in Uzbekistan for migrants and their family members, including the creation of favourable socio-economic conditions, as well as the consistent digitalization of consular services aimed at enhancing their accessibility and efficiency.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening practical cooperation and continuing a constructive dialogue on topical issues of the migration agenda.
