ESKIŞEHIR, May 3. /Dunyo IA/. An international open-air painting workshop was held in the Japanese Garden of Anadolu University, bringing together artists from Turkiye and Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent citing “Habertürk” and the “İhlas Haber Ajansı”.

The creative event was organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) of Anadolu University. It was attended by students and professors from the National Institute of Fine Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod, who arrived in Eskişehir as part of an academic exchange program.

The Japanese Garden, known for its unique landscape architecture, served as a space for cultural dialogue. Young artists from Uzbekistan worked alongside their Turkish counterparts, creating paintings in an open-air setting and capturing the harmony of nature and architectural forms.

Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Professor Selva Bakir, emphasized the importance of such initiatives for strengthening ties between the two countries. She noted that working in an inspiring environment allows students not only to improve their artistic skills but also to exchange cultural experience, laying the foundation for future joint art projects.

Participants from Uzbekistan highlighted the hospitality of the Turkish side and the uniqueness of the location, stating that such workshops contribute to the cultural rapprochement of peoples and the international promotion of national art schools.

At the conclusion of the event, it was announced that an exhibition of works created during the plein air session will be organized, showcasing the results of the artistic collaboration between Uzbekistan and Turkiye.
