Tashkent engages leading British firm to discuss implementation of “Smart Hospital” concept

• 180LONDON, February 9. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held in Tashkent between Asilbek Khudayarov, Minister of Health of Uzbekistan and Chester King, Chief Executive Officer of the British company “International Hospitals Group” (IHG), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the talks, held at the Ministry of Health, the parties discussed the implementation of a project to establish outpatient and inpatient mental health facilities in accordance with international standards.
Special attention was given to the introduction of the “smart hospital” concept, digital management systems, professional development for medical staff and modern healthcare management practices.
Chester King, CEO of “International Hospitals Group”, noted that during his visit he had toured psychiatric and addiction treatment facilities in Tashkent and Tashkent Region, expressing a positive assessment of the work being carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of mental health.
The parties agreed on joint measures to raise the quality of medical services in the field to international standards, ensure the population has access to modern and effective healthcare and support the sustainable development of mental health services with the involvement of British specialists.
In addition, the head of the British company expressed readiness to cooperate not only with state institutions but also with private healthcare facilities.
