MOSCOW, March 21. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of Uzbekistan led by Ambassador Botirjon Asadov visited Russia’s Tula and Voronezh regions, where they held roundtables and meetings with the local business community, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The events, hosted by the “My Business” center in Voronezh and the regional government of Tula, brought together Russian business representatives and regional officials.

During the meetings, Ambassador emphasized that Uzbekistan offers favourable conditions for interregional cooperation, noting the presence of four free economic zones with strong participation from Russian companies and investors, opening new opportunities for joint projects and expanding mutual trade. He also highlighted the significant potential for strengthening cooperation after familiarizing himself with the regions during the visit.

Regional authorities in Tula noted that Uzbekistan is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for business, with growing exports of food products, raw materials, chemicals, machinery, and metals. The region’s trade turnover with Uzbekistan reached $41.2 million in 2025, marking a 31.2% increase. In Voronezh, officials pointed to long-standing and steadily developing ties, with trade turnover increasing 1.8 times in 2025, driven by exports of agricultural products, machinery, and chemicals.

The events featured presentations on Uzbekistan’s economic potential and discussions on future trade and investment cooperation, alongside information about ongoing reforms aimed at improving the business climate. Russian business representatives expressed interest in expanding trade, economic, and investment ties with Uzbekistan’s regions.
