TASHKENT, August 17. /Dunyo IA/. At the Central Museum of the Center for Islamic Civilization, work is nearing completion on one of the main highlights of the permanent exhibition — the "Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries", reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The 52-meter-long, 8-meter-high installation features a section titled "Pre-Islamic Civilizations", which will present — through a modern museum interpretation — the states that existed on the territory of our country since ancient times, along with prominent historical figures and major discoveries.
The Center hosted a discussion on the results of the working group dedicated to the exhibition concept. During the meeting, participants thoroughly reviewed the overall theme of the section, the arrangement of exhibits, label texts, and design solutions.
Special attention was given to the accurate presentation of information for each exhibit — including its name, historical era, region of discovery, and method of display lighting. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History and Associate Professor at the Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Obid Tangirov noted:
- During discussions with scholars, we concluded that each exhibit must be clearly labeled with its name, territorial and chronological origin, as well as its status — whether it is an original or a replica. This will make the information more accessible and engaging for visitors.
It was also mentioned that scientific descriptions and historical references are being prepared in collaboration with archaeologists, and the placement of items within the museum is being refined. To preserve the originals and display them under safe conditions, specific replicas will be created.
The main idea of the section is to showcase the civilizations that developed on the territory of Uzbekistan, their material and spiritual heritage, as well as their contribution to the development of world history.
The "Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries" will not only present historical facts but also allow visitors to feel the breath of the past and rediscover the heritage of their ancestors. The project will serve as an important step in conveying the country’s rich historical legacy to future generations, incorporating modern museum practices.
