TOMSK, April 26. /Dunyo IA/. Aslam Akbarov, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk, held a regular field reception for Uzbek students studying at the Tomsk State National Research University, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The meeting was held in an open and sincere atmosphere. During the conversation, students provided information about their academic conditions, participation in scientific seminars and events, as well as their living arrangements.

The students emphasized the importance of staying in constant contact with the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk. In particular, they noted the effectiveness of the Telegram channel established by the Consul General, which facilitates rapid communication with Uzbek youth in Tomsk.

During the dialogue, pressing issues such as the organization of summer internships and improving conditions in student dormitories were discussed, and solutions were identified.

At the conclusion of the meeting, students expressed their readiness to actively participate in the Uzbekistan Consul General’s Cup mini-football tournament, which will be held on May 23, 2026, in Novosibirsk.

Currently, approximately 2,100 Uzbek students are pursuing various fields of study at higher education institutions in Tomsk, which is considered Russia’s “Student Capital”.
