AKTAU, July 17. /Dunyo IA/.  A meeting dedicated to the development of the mahalla and increasing its role in our country was held at the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the event, participants were presented with information on the significance of the mahalla institution in New Uzbekistan, as well as on the measures taken by the country's leadership to support mahallas, solve citizens’ social problems, reduce unemployment and prevent crime.

Particular attention was paid to the activities of the “mahalla seven” - a mechanism for interaction among representatives of local communities aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens and providing them with the necessary support.

Participants were also told about the opportunities of tourism mahallas in Uzbekistan, the specifics of their activities and examples of successful development that contribute to creating jobs for the local population.

Following the meeting, the participants highly praised the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and noted the important role of the mahalla institution in the development of society.
