Uzbekistan and UAE agree to expand cooperation in Higher Education and Labor Migration

ABU DHABI, July 21. /Dunyo IA/.   Ambassador of Uzbekistan Umid Shodiev, met with the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Minister of Higher Education of the UAE Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, parties discussed matters of further developing mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of higher education and migration, reaching a number of practical agreements.

In the field of higher education, Emirati side expressed its readiness to welcome the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan for a working visit in September of this year. Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to discuss the expansion of cooperation between the higher education institutions of the two countries, the launch of joint educational programs, the development of academic mobility and the strengthening of interaction in the field of scientific research, as well as the implementation of joint projects in such areas as technology, engineering, medicine, public administration and innovation.

In the field of migration, the Emirati side also declared its readiness to organize an online meeting with the Vocational Education Agency of Uzbekistan in the near future. During the meeting, the parties intend to discuss matters of systematically attracting citizens of Uzbekistan to the UAE labor market, improving vocational training, upgrading specialists' qualifications in accordance with international standards, and developing effective practical mechanisms of cooperation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties underscored that the agreements reached will contribute to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two states and creating new opportunities for developing cooperation in the fields of education and labor employment.
